The subject project is a state of the art headquarters complex for the Kuwait Investment Authority. The development includes: a multi-level podium with below grade parking, mechanical and service rooms, and above grade retail and conference center amenity rooms; and a tower with 40 floors of offices arranged in multi-story courtyard modules.
The primary acoustic concerns are: the acoustic separation of adjacent conference center amenity rooms, offices, dining hall, parking levels, and mechanical rooms from adjacent spaces via demising walls and floor/ceiling assemblies; the isolation of exterior noise; the room acoustics of atriums, pre-function areas, conference center, reception lobby, meeting rooms, boardroom, lounges, and other large venues; and the control of mechanical system noise and vibration.
