The 450 room 4.5 star hotel is located at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive in the former London Guarantee & Accident Building designed by Alfred Alschuler. Original details including gold-leaf ceilings have been carefully restored and combined with new spaces of the 67,000 square foot glass annex. The hotel includes two floors of retail space, a restaurant, bar, grand ballroom, junior ballroom, fitness center, meeting spaces and a rooftop bar with a terrace providing views of the Chicago River and neighboring skyscrapers.
Acoustical design services include schematic design through construction administration and addressed guest room, fitness and meeting room sound isolation, control of mechanical, electrical and plumbing system noise and vibration, mechanical system exterior noise control and sound isolation and room acoustics of the lobby, meeting rooms, and ballrooms.
