The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Headquarters will be a 179,775 SF building with five above grade levels and one lower level. The facility will provide open plan and private offices, an auditorium, conference rooms an Orthopaedic Learning Center and support space including a mail center, delicatessen, mechanical, storage as well as limited parking.
Shiner Acoustics, LLC provided complete acoustical consulting services for the project shell and core as well as tenant build out. Project acoustical design included selection and specification of building enclosure systems to attenuate roadway and aircraft noise transmitted to interior spaces, interior partitions and floor/ceiling systems to control sound transmission between adjacent spaces, HVAC system noise and vibration control, finish materials to achieve appropriate room acoustics. Control of noise and vibration due to the emergency generator was also addressed.
