The dramatic 27-story four-star boutique Hilton Hotel is located at the northeast corner of State and Lake Street. The 298-room Wit Hotel is positioned at the northern gateway to the Central loop's shopping district and adjacent to the State Street Theater District.
The building's design embraces the iconic and historic corner and the elevated train that stops there. Leading edge, energy efficient systems and the latest in hotel technology have been combined with the most requested lifestyle amenities in this signature building.
To date, Shiner Acoustics has provided recommendations to control noise in the public, exhibit and retail spaces.
Shiner Acoustics, LLC provided input from Schematic Design through Contract Documents, including recommendations for the sound isolation of guest rooms, the screening room, fitness center, business center and lobby. Recommendations were provided for control of mechanical, electrical and plumbing noise and vibration. Glazing was optimized in order to provide reduction of noise from the adjacent elevated CTA train tracks to guest rooms.
