The Douglas Hall is the new home for the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Business Administration. The project was a complete renovation of the existing 23,000 ft², 3 story building that includes state-of-the-art classrooms, a trading floor and high-tech student work areas for team projects.
Shiner provided input from Schematic Design through Construction Administration, including recommendations for the sound isolation of classroom, meeting room and office partitions, room acoustics for classrooms, hallways, gathering spaces and the main lobby and review, analysis and recommendations for control of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing noise and vibration.
